ABOUT

There’s never been a better time to step into Jeorgia Rose’s beautiful world.

The singer-songwriter out of Manchester is officially entering her biggest chapter yet with the release of her debut album, Blooming, an LP built on the crossroads of country instrumentation and storytelling with bright pop production.

While based across the pond, Jeorgia Rose’s sound feels steeped in the singer-songwriter community more expected of an artist growing in Nashville or the independent music halls of Brooklyn. With Blooming, Rose explores themes of love, growth, heartbreak and self discovery with confidence and nuance.

Consider the title track, where Rose takes on personal growth through the lens of her own namesake — a blooming flower. Throughout the project, she embraces vivid imagery while taking bigger sonic swings, reveling in the subdued on tracks like “Anchor” and getting the listener to their feet on “Heatwave.” As always, she uses both guitar and piano in her writing process and still considers time with her guitar her favorite form of therapy.

The release of a full collection of songs confirms that Jeorgia Rose understands that there’s more out there than traditional romance. “This album is about the stage after heartbreak where you thought you’d never be okay without someone, but you’ve come out the other side and life is now blooming,” she says. “It’s a representation of things I’ve experienced in the last few years of my life growing from a teenager into an adult.”

As she continues to blossom, her background in live shows and years of honing her ability to connect with a crowd are paying off — this experience now feeds back into her craft and ever-expanding lyrical world. Above all else, Rose’s process revolves around following her emotions and letting her heart guide the story, rather than trying to find the perfectly curated or algorithmic melody. If she finds a hit along the way, so be it.

“Like a flower slowly unfolding its petals, this project has been in the making for over a year now, capturing the essence of my journey as I blossom into my true self,” she confirms.
